PIQUA — The theme for the 2012 Elk men’s track and field team is “Pirate Up.” Heading to Piqua High School, the team knew that they would need to have the “all for one and one for all” attitude to bring home the GWOC Championship. By the end of the meet, there was no doubt that the Elks came to “take it all” as they headed home with both the Central Division and over-all Conference trophies.

The 5th annual WarriorElk Race2Read Challenge between Centerville and Wayne High Schools took to the track this past Wednesday. It came down to the wire, but for the fourth straight year the Centerville Elks took top honors and the rights to retain the Warrior Elk flag for one more year.
The Centerville Elks boys volleyball team fought a tough contest at defending Division II state champion Alter Knights last Friday night. After Alter won the first set by four points, the Elks came back to capture the second set by five. The third set was even closer, decided by only three points, but the Knights surged, led by hitters Eisenhauer and Lush to take the fourth and deciding set of the match.
